Zeus, the seven-foot-tall dog, died. This dog had earned the Guinness World Record in 2012 after measuring 44 inches in height. The dog breed is a great dane. Zeus, who lived in Otsego, Michigan., was named the world's tallest dog. Standing on his hind legs, he hit 7-foot-4 feet in height. He eventually died of natural causes. Zeus was also a local celebrity outside of Kalamazoo, Mich., where he enjoyed serving as a therapy dog, visiting area schools and hospitals, his owners said.
